Cabled Sweater detail
I've just worked up a fantastic new pattern which I plan to use for a sweater. I've been making a lot of scarves and blankets lately so this should make a nice change. I'm excited about this one because it's very drape-y, which I prefer mostly because it's more flattering and I also like garments that feel easy on the body and this has both. The stitches , although they have different counts, work up well together and don't make things too complicated to track.

My first post!
I've never shared my knitting or ideas online before. I'm excited!
I love yarn and I love knitting. I have a short attention span with projects and I often need to work on 2 or 3 projects at a time. Right now I'm knitting my step mother a simple lace scarf using Alchemy's Haiku. It's silk mohair and very beautiful. I'm also working on a throw made of random cotton that I had floating around. I tie-dyed some of the yarn a few years ago and I figure I'll do thick, graphic strips of seed stitch panels and sew them together in the end. I feel very inspired by Louise Bourgeois's quilts. Graphic and simple and well composed.
I've also just finished a baby blanket for my cousin's soon to arrive little one. It's very simple and relies on a strong color palette.
